Summary

Industrial Concrete is a strong grey building block. It is not crafted ready-made: cement, sand, gravel and a water bucket are mixed into fresh concrete, which you place where you want it, and it sets within one game day (20 minutes) into industrial concrete. While the concrete is fresh you can take it off by hand and lay it again, so a mistake in the masonry is easy to fix. The quarry's building blocks are made from concrete, and on its own it is simply a solid stone for building. It comes with a slab and stairs.

Mini example. Smelt slag from the Recycler in a furnace to get cement. Put two cement, two sand, four gravel and a water bucket on a crafting table: you get 8 fresh concrete and an empty bucket. Lay a foundation. One game day later it is industrial concrete.

Behavior

Setting

Fresh concrete goes through four stages, and with each one it visibly lightens and dries. A stage lasts a quarter of a game day (5 minutes), 20 minutes in all. After the fourth stage the block turns into industrial concrete by itself. Every stage comes exactly on time: setting does not depend on the world's random ticks.

Slab and stairs

The industrial concrete slab and stairs behave like vanilla ones: a slab goes on the bottom or the top half, two slabs in one cell make a full block, stairs turn and join at the corners.

All are full cubes except the slab and the stairs. The sound is stone, the map colour grey. Without a pickaxe industrial concrete, its slab and its stairs drop nothing.

Any sand and any gravel will do: ordinary and red sand, gravel from other mods.

Progression

Tier: none, the block uses no energy.
Requires: slag from the Recycler, a furnace, sand, gravel and a water bucket.
