Solar Fluxweave Helmet

Summary
The Solar Fluxweave Helmet is an upgraded Fluxweave Helmet: a small tier-1 solar panel is mounted on top of it. While the helmet is worn and there is an open sky overhead in daylight, it generates EU/FE by itself and hands it out to everything the player carries: first to itself, then to the rest of the worn armour, then to the tools in the inventory, the offhand and the Energy Pack.
In every other way it is an ordinary Fluxweave helmet: the same buffer, underwater breathing, swim speed, defense 2, and it counts as the set's helmet — the 4/4 bonus works with it exactly as with the plain one. The details of the whole set are on the Fluxweave Armor page.
The output is small and honest: this is a worn version of the tier-1 panel, not a perpetual-motion machine. At night, under a roof or underwater the helmet generates nothing.
Energy
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Buffer (EU/FE) | 15,000 (same as the Fluxweave Helmet) |
| Max input (EU/FE/tick) | 32 (LV ceiling) |
| Passive upkeep | 1 EU/FE/second while the helmet is worn and charged |
| Generation | up to 8 EU/FE/second under a clear daytime sky |
| Set-bonus cost | 200 EU/FE per half-heart of regeneration (drawn from the helmet's charge) |
8 EU/FE/s is about 40 % of a tier-1 panel on the g and comfortably covers the armour's own 1 EU/FE/s upkeep. The knob lives in the config
When the helmet generates
The rules are those of the tier-1 panel on the ground. Only a worn helmet generates — in the inventory it does nothing.
| Condition | Output |
|---|---|
| Clear day, open sky overhead, Overworld | 8 EU/FE/s |
| Night | 0 |
| A roof overhead, a cave | 0 |
| Head underwater | 0 |
| Nether, End and other dimensions without a sky | 0 |
| Rain, thunderstorm | 0 |
| Snowfall or a layer of snow | 2 EU/FE/s (a weak trickle, like the panel) |
| Leaves or cobweb overhead | 4 EU/FE/s (half) |
The helmet starts by itself. The output does not depend on the helmet's own charge: a completely flat helmet (0 EU/FE) starts working in the sun with no outside charging.
Where the energy goes
Once a second the generated energy is handed out in this order:
- The helmet itself — so its bonuses and upkeep never flicker.
- The rest of the worn armour.
- The rest of the inventory and the offhand — split evenly, not "first in the list"; the starting point of the sweep rotates. The Energy Pack receives energy on equal terms with everything else.
Energy is never created from nothing: what lands in items never exceeds the output. When all the gear is full, the excess is lost and the items are not rewritten (no extra sync traffic).
What the helmet gives
Everything the plain Fluxweave Helmet gives: underwater breathing, +50 % swim speed, and paying for the 4/4 set bonus. The bonuses are attributes and apply while the helmet holds charge.
Item Properties
| Field | Value |
|---|---|
| Defense | 2 |
| Durability | never spent (wear is paid in EU/FE) |
| Enchanting | yes, like ordinary armour; enchantability 18 |
| Repair | Fluxweave cloth in an anvil |
| Inventory bar | EU/FE charge, in the LV colour |
Appearance
Part of the Fluxweave suit: a small solar panel (blue cells in a frame) sits on top of the helmet. The worn armour has two layers, "charged" and "flat", like the other pieces of the set. The look does not change with the sun: a cloud overhead does not recolour the armour.
Recipe
Crafting table, a shaped recipe of two rows: a tier-1 solar panel on top in the centre, an ordinary Fluxweave helmet below it in the centre and an insulated copper cable on each side of the helmet. The charge of the original helmet carries over to the result — the upgrade needs no recharging.
Tooltip
The item tooltip has two lines: "Solar panel: up to N EU/FE/s under a clear daytime sky" (N comes from ) and a note that at night, under a roof and underwater the helmet generates nothing.
Progression
Tier: LV
Requires: the Fluxweave Helmet and a tier-1 solar panel, plus two insulated copper cables.
Next: there is no night variant — the helmet is built on the tier-1 panel, not the moonlit one.
