Summary

The Diamond Chest is the top storage tier: 108 slots, twelve rows of nine, and the first chest in the mod that shrugs off explosions. It needs no energy.

Inventory

The 108 slots are reached through a six-row window with a scrollbar — the same window the electrum chest uses. Twelve rows is where that machinery ends: a panel taller than six rows does not fit the screen height the game guarantees, so the tier grows by scrolling rather than by getting taller.

Interface

A six-row window plus the player inventory. Scroll with the wheel or the bar on the right; shift-click reaches rows that are currently off screen.

Double chest

Two diamond chests side by side join into a double of 216 slots — as with every tier, only chests of the same tier pair.

Block properties

Blast resistance is immunity, not invulnerability. 1200 is the ancient-debris figure: an explosion ray spends its entire budget on such a block, so TNT and creepers — charged ones included — leave the chest and its contents alone. Useful side effect: the chest also shields whatever stands behind it.

⚠️ A wither still breaks it. Its ram is gated by the minecraft:wither_immune tag rather than by resistance, and not even ancient debris is in that tag. Joining the tag was deliberately rejected: a chest nothing can break would devalue every other tier.

Progression

Iron (36) → silver (45) → gold (54) → electrum (81) → diamond (108). The Shielding Chest sits outside this ladder: it is also 36 slots, and its point is radiation shielding rather than volume.
