Machine Casing

Summary
The Machine Casing is the base block that machines are built from. It is forged from 8 iron plates (a ring on the crafting grid) and then becomes the body of an LV machine: a machine recipe is the casing plus its defining part. This builds a clear chain: ingot → plate → casing → machine. On its own it holds no energy and interacts with nothing — it is an intermediate part and, at the same time, a rugged building block (the "grid plating" look).
Mini-example: want a Macerator? First hammer 8 iron plates (or press them in a Compressor), craft a casing from them, then casing + flint + electronic circuit — and the Macerator is done.
Block properties
An ordinary solid block with a metal feel. Broken by any pickaxe.

Recipes
8 iron plates → 1 casing (crafting grid, ring PPP / P·P / PPP, P = ). No reverse recipe — the casing is a part, not a storage form. Where it is used: the base of LV machines. The Macerator, Extractor, Compressor, Polymerizer and Incubator are all built on the casing (casing + defining part + electronic circuit). Generators are not tied to the casing — they are the entry point into power.
Progression
A Phase 3 intermediate: gives the iron plate its main sink and tidies up machine crafting. Machines already placed in the world keep working; only the crafting recipe of new ones changed.
