Water Wheel

Summary
The Water Mill Wheel is a crafting component: the wheel you place into the wheel slot of a water mill. Without a wheel in the slot, the mill generates nothing. The wheel is a durability component: it wears out only while the mill actually produces EU/FE (proportional to output) and breaks when spent. The wear bar shows in your inventory and in the slot.
It comes in three grades — the water-side counterpart of the rotor ladder. The mill itself needs no rebuilding: a better wheel goes into the same slot and raises output right away. The grade is visible from a distance — the in-world wheel is built from its grade's material.
| Grade | Output | Durability | Total life | Lasts about | Materials |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Wooden | ×1.00 | 1000 | 320 000 EU/FE | 6–7 days | planks, copper, sticks, wooden gear |
| Reinforced | ×1.25 | 3000 | 1 200 000 EU/FE | 25 days | the wooden wheel + tempered iron plates, copper, iron gear |
| Advanced | ×1.50 | 6000 | 2 880 000 EU/FE | 60 days | the reinforced wheel + tempered iron plates, electronic circuit, copper, silver gear |
Days are in-game days of ordinary round-the-clock operation. The wooden wheel is available at the same time as the mill itself.
Each grade is crafted from the one below it, placed in the centre of the grid — no rung can be skipped. A worn wheel works as an ingredient just as well as a pristine one.
Mini-example: the mill on your channel runs unattended, but once a week it stops with an empty slot. The advanced wheel outlives nine wooden ones and makes half again as much EU/FE.
Because mill output is in whole EU/FE/t, the difference between grades shows up best on a wide channel: with all four drive cells running that is 4 → 5 → 6 EU/FE/t. On a single jet, rounding eats part of the gain.
Energy
Uses no energy — it's a plain ingredient for the wheel slot.
How it's used
Goes into the dedicated wheel slot of the Water Mill. Rendered in the world as a 3D model — tilted blade-planks, a rim, spokes and a copper axle in the style of Create (rendered on vanilla wood/copper sprites). Wears out while the mill generates EU/FE.
Block properties
Not applicable (item). Durability component: max durability 1000, so it does not stack (stack: 1).
Recipes
Crafted on a workbench (shaped 3×3): planks in the corners, copper ingots top and bottom, sticks on the sides, a wooden gear in the center.

PUP
P — planks (any, ×4); U — copper ingot (×2); S — stick (×2); G — Wooden Gear (×1).
Progression
A component with no tier of its own. Gates water generation: without a wheel, the mill stays silent. The wheel itself is crafted from early materials, so it's available alongside the first mill.
