Nutrient Solution
Summary
Nutrient Solution is the end of the mod's organic chain and the one fluid in it that is not a fuel: nothing burns it, and it has exactly one consumer — the sprinkler. The solution is obtained by distilling biofuel a second time in the distillation column.
The colour is a bright green; this is the thinnest fluid in the mod, closer to water than anything else, and the only one the player is meant to stand in while working the field.
Mini-example: the column distils biofuel, a pump draws the solution off the top and sends it by pipe to a sprinkler in the middle of the field. From there the field waters itself.
Block Properties
| What | Value |
|---|---|
| Physics | it spreads; does not burn, does not drown, no fall damage |
| Immersion | the weakest drag of the mod's five fluids — almost like water |
| Under the surface | the palest film in the mod, fog from 6 to 28 blocks |
| Replenishes | no — two sources do not breed a third |
| Collection | a bucket, a vacuum capsule, a pump |
| Tag | c:nutrient_solution (source + flowing) |
The film on the screen is deliberately the weakest of all: this is the one fluid the player works in, rather than climbs out of.
Obtaining
Only the distillation column, the second cracking pass:
1000 mB of biofuel + 400 EU/FE → 900 mB of nutrient solution
One fraction comes out rather than two (as with oil) — which is why the solution leaves at the top, from the condenser. The 10 % loss is the general rule: processing in this mod never multiplies volume.
Uses
The only consumer is the sprinkler:
| What | Cost |
|---|---|
| Watering one vanilla crop (a bone-meal-grade acceleration) | 50 mB |
| One crystal in the greenhouse (the third axis of acceleration, ÷2) | 50 mB |
A bucket of solution is 20 firings; the sprinkler's tank (4000 mB) is 80.
The solution is not a fuel: it is not in c:combustion_fuels, and no generator accepts it. It is the mod's only fluid with no energy value.
Progression
The end of the chain: fermenter → biofuel → distillation column → solution → sprinkler. The full arithmetic at the common feedstock tier: about 17 fermentation batches (≈10 000 EU/FE and ~34 harvest items) give a bucket of biofuel, that bucket gives 900 mB of solution, that is 18 waterings. The loop is closed: the field feeds the fermenter, and the fermenter speeds the field up two distillations later.
