Invar Ingot
Summary
Invar is an iron-and-nickel alloy made one ingot at a time by the Alloy Smelter. Iron you always have; nickel is the scarcest metal in the mod, so how fast you can make invar comes down to nickel and nothing else.
Mini-example: put two iron ingots in any input slot of the smelter and one nickel ingot in any other. Seven and a half seconds later the output holds one invar ingot. Slot order does not matter.
The smelter returns a single ingot per operation, so the full 1200 EU/FE is spent on that one ingot. There is no invar ore: the alloy comes out of the smelter and nowhere else, and a vanilla furnace will not make it.

Three ingots in, one out: melting costs metal, and that holds for every alloy in the mod. Iron and nickel are accepted through the conventional tags c:ingots/iron and c:ingots/nickel, so nickel from another mod is taken just like the mod's own.
Progression
Invar now has an invar plate — forged with the Forge Hammer or stamped out in the Compressor — and two plates press into a single reinforced one. The ingot itself goes into the Diamond-Tipped Electric Drill. Nickel, meanwhile, is already spent on electronic circuits, so every ingot you divert into invar is a circuit you did not build: stockpiling the alloy pays off when nickel is spare.
