Summary

The Tempered Iron Block is a storage block: 9 tempered-iron ingots compressed into a single full block. It exists to save chest space — instead of 9 stacks of ingots, you keep one stack of blocks.

Mini-example: short on chest room? Craft a stack of ingots into blocks, and when you need the ingots back, uncraft the block — the cycle is strictly lossless, just like the vanilla iron or gold block.

On its own it produces no energy and does nothing — it is simply a compact form of the metal and a decorative building block.

Form	How you get it
Block (full cube)	crafting 9 ingots → 1 block; uncrafting 1 block → 9 ingots

Block Properties

An ordinary solid block with the same feel as the vanilla iron block. It needs a stone pickaxe or better.

Field	Value
Tool	stone pickaxe or better
Beacon base	yes
Drop	itself (the block drops itself)

Recipes (processing)

No processing recipes — just two workbench recipes that move metal in and out of the block form. The cycle is strictly reversible and lossless.

9 ingots → 1 block (workbench, 3×3 grid of ingots).
1 block → 9 ingots (workbench, shapeless — put the block in to get the 9 ingots back).

The source ingot is tempered iron.

Progression

The block is a compact storage form, a building block and a beacon base. It makes stairs, a slab and a wall, and the ingots and plates make a fence: the whole family is described on the Metal Blocks page.

Tempered Iron — the ingot the block is assembled from.
Tempered Iron tools — the main consumer of the ingots.
Metal Blocks — storage blocks of the mod's other ingots, stairs, slabs, walls and the fence.
Tin, Silver, Nickel, Uranium — the mod's other materials.
